Market Stalls


Weekend and Sunday Market Days - 8th to 10th June 2012


It must be stressed that Wimborne Folk Festival is an 'Open Air Festival' and relies solely on the good old English weather.  It is very busy with dancers, musicians and visitors to the town.


The weekend sites are based on the Allendale Centre frontage and in the car park of the Olive Branch across the road from the Centre. 


There are weekend food stalls sited in the town centre. The Sunday only Market is held in the town centre. All are extremely popular with our visitors and will continue to generate interest throughout the weekend.


On the Saturday, running concurrently, the Minster will hold its Annual Fair. This event is held on the green fronting the Church and supports thirteen local charities The annual fair is an additional attraction for visitors.


If you apply for a stall, once you have forwarded your cheque and the attached Application Form, you are unlikely to hear from us until the end of April. We will send you details of your site position, together with times of entry etc. You should be aware of Environmental Health & Safety Regulations and you must possess Public Liability Insurance valid for the period of the Festival.


Weekend set-up is from 4pm on Friday and Sunday set-up is from 7.30am (Not before). All stalls are to be dismantled by 6pm on the Sunday evening.


You are encouraged to camp in or by your stall for the Saturday evening as there are no security facilities in the weekend areas.


The Market Stall pitch sizes are in units of 10ft square and multiples of 10ft length. Maximum depth of any stall must not exceed 10ft. Any other sizes please ask for special quote. (Please note that Electricity is not available).


For crafts and clothing etc. the rates are:


  • Weekend rates per 10ft depth by 10ft width are £220.
  • Sunday rates per 10ft depth by 10ft width are £110.
  • Sunday rates per 3ft depth by 6ft width are £70.
  • Sunday Charity rates for 10ft depth x 10ft width are £65.
  • Sunday Charity rates for 3ft depth x 6ft width are £25.

Catering rates will be quoted based on size and availability and will be commercially rated. Please email in the first instance your enquiry as to availability for the type of food you sell. Maria Bisp.
